Road repair - crack seal

posted Feb 5, 2021, 11:24 AM by Forest Ridge

Dear Residents:

The board of directors would like to provide an update regarding the road repairs in Forest Ridge.

The road repairs on Green Bluff and Pebble Run are now complete. The next phase is to complete crack fill throughout the entire community. This work is set to commence on February 8 and will take approximately one week to complete. The vendor has advised there will be little to no disruption to residents during this time, as the crack fill is fast drying and can therefore be driven on relatively quickly. Traffic cones will be placed to direct traffic.

IMPORTANT: Please ensure your sprinkler systems are not running between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. between February 8 and February 12. If your sprinkler system is running, it will delay work.

Attached is the schedule of work. Please check the map and ensure your vehicle is not parked on the road for the duration of that day.

Day 1: Red outline - Sunrise Pass/W. Fork Dr./Ridge Canyon Dr./Meadow Creek Dr./Rimrock Trail/Union Creek Dr./Forest Ridge Pkwy.
Day 2: Blue outline - Green Bluff Dr./ Iron Ridge Pass/Windy Ridge Trail/Pebble Run/Red Rock Pass
Day 3: Green outline - Cascade/Owl Creek Rd./Grand Forest Dr./Ridge Peak Dr.
Day 4: Yellow outline - Summit Hill Dr. to Flagstone Dr.
Day 5: Red outline - Horseshoe Cove/Madrone Dr./Brush Creek Dr.

If there are any delays to the commencement of work, we will let you know as soon as possible.

In the meantime, if you have any questions, please reach out to our community manager, Stephanie Brennan, at contact@spectrumam.com.

Community Pool Opening

posted Jun 4, 2020, 8:03 AM by Forest Ridge

Dear Residents:

Effective Saturday, June 6, the Board of Directors is pleased to announce the opening of our community pool to Forest Ridge residents only--guests are not permitted at this time. Following standards set by the City of Schertz for safe operation of a public pool in the current health crisis requires a number of changes and limitations that will be in effect.

Please read the following information carefully before utilizing the facility.

The Open Texas Guidelines set forth by Governor Abbott require the pool to operate at 25% of rated occupancy and for that level of occupancy to be managed. These same guidelines also require sanitation of restrooms and the cleaning of any items used in the pool area such a furniture.

To provide the needed level of sanitation and manage occupancy, the Association has worked with our management company (SpectrumAM) and our pool vendor (Seven Wells) to hire monitors who will be present during operating hours.

Limitations:

Pool Operating Hours Will Be Limited to 18 Hours Per Week:
- Wednesday: 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Occupancy and Usage:
- Maximum occupancy is 22 people (not including the pool monitor)
--Please practice social distancing
--Stagger seating and group by household
- Each resident will be admitted on a first come, first served basis
- To ensure all residents have equal access to the pool, a 2-hour time restriction will be in effect
--Each resident will be required to sign in upon entry to the pool
--The pool monitor will notify you when your 2-hour period is near its end
--If other residents are waiting, you will be asked to leave so others may enjoy the pool
---You are welcome to cycle back in but we ask that you allow others access
- DO NOT USE THE POOL IF YOU HAVE A COUGH, FEVER, OR OTHER SYMPTOMS OF ILLNESS

Sanitation and Oversight:
- Occupancy and sanitization will be managed by pool monitors
- Restroom surfaces and door handles will be sanitized hourly
- All pool furniture will be secured and unavailable for use
--Residents are encouraged to bring a folding chair if desired

The monitors are young adults hired by Seven Wells and paid for by your HOA. We ask that you to treat the monitors with courtesy and respect any requests. Pool Update - 5/28

posted May 28, 2020, 11:26 AM by Forest Ridge

Dear Forest Ridge Homeowners,

The Associations Board of Directors is currently executing a plan to partially re-open the community pool and is targeting early June.  To do this we are working with Spectrum and our Pool Service vendor to secure labor that will be on site during pool hours to monitor occupancy and provide routine sanitation of the restrooms.

Your pool committee is currently working on the schedule of the openings and a means to insure all homeowners have the ability to fairly access the pool given that it will only be open a fixed number of hours per week with significantly reduced occupancy.  More details to come on this.

At this time there is no plan to make the pool available to private parties or large groups.  Due to sanitation requirements, the association will have all pool furniture secured and not available for use.  Homeowners who wish to may bring their own folding chairs.  The homeowners who use the pool will be asked to follow all CDC guidelines for social distancing and sanitation.  Appropriate signage will be installed as a reminder.

Again, there are a great many details to work out but we wanted to keep you informed as this develops.

Sincerely,
Board of Directors
Forest Ridge Owners Association

Community Pool Update

posted May 21, 2020, 8:21 AM by Forest Ridge   [ updated May 21, 2020, 8:22 AM ]

Dear Residents:

The Board of Directors and Spectrum are monitoring the governor's orders and the actions of the City of Schertz to determine when it is appropriate to open your pool. As of Monday, May 18, as was announced in a previous order, pools can be opened with several provisions:

-Pools can open with up to 25% occupancy.
-Individuals should avoid being in groups over 10 people.
-Must maintain 6 feet of separation between individuals where feasible.
-Avoid sharing common objects.
-Individuals should self-screen before going to the pool.

There are very clear directions provided where the pool is staffed to monitor the number of people and manage the occupancy requirement; however, absent the on-site staff, the directions are far more ambiguous.

Additionally, we cannot legally open the pool without an accessible restroom and HOURLY sanitation of these facilities is required while the pool is open. The association is currently evaluating the options available to us and the cost associated with them to determine how we can open the pool safely and following these orders.

Please understand that if these regulations are not followed and, for example, the 25% occupancy standard is exceeded or proper sanitation is not present and this came to the attention of authorities, the pool could be shut down and the association fined.

We understand how important this is to the members of our association and ask for your patience and understanding as we navigate through this complex issue. We will ask our partners at Spectrum to provide an update weekly until this is resolved.

Regards,
Forest Ridge Board of Directors
