Community Pool Opening
Dear Residents: Effective Saturday, June 6, the Board of Directors is pleased to announce the opening of our community pool to Forest Ridge residents only--guests are not permitted at this time. Following standards set by the City of Schertz for safe operation of a public pool in the current health crisis requires a number of changes and limitations that will be in effect. Please read the following information carefully before utilizing the facility. The Open Texas Guidelines set forth by Governor Abbott require the pool to operate at 25% of rated occupancy and for that level of occupancy to be managed. These same guidelines also require sanitation of restrooms and the cleaning of any items used in the pool area such a furniture. To provide the needed level of sanitation and manage occupancy, the Association has worked with our management company (SpectrumAM) and our pool vendor (Seven Wells) to hire monitors who will be present during operating hours. Limitations: Pool Operating Hours Will Be Limited to 18 Hours Per Week: - Wednesday: 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. - Saturday and Sunday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Occupancy and Usage: - Maximum occupancy is 22 people (not including the pool monitor) --Please practice social distancing --Stagger seating and group by household - Each resident will be admitted on a first come, first served basis - To ensure all residents have equal access to the pool, a 2-hour time restriction will be in effect --Each resident will be required to sign in upon entry to the pool --The pool monitor will notify you when your 2-hour period is near its end --If other residents are waiting, you will be asked to leave so others may enjoy the pool ---You are welcome to cycle back in but we ask that you allow others access - DO NOT USE THE POOL IF YOU HAVE A COUGH, FEVER, OR OTHER SYMPTOMS OF ILLNESS Sanitation and Oversight: - Occupancy and sanitization will be managed by pool monitors - Restroom surfaces and door handles will be sanitized hourly - All pool furniture will be secured and unavailable for use --Residents are encouraged to bring a folding chair if desired The monitors are young adults hired by Seven Wells and paid for by your HOA. We ask that you to treat the monitors with courtesy and respect any requests. They will have been instructed on their responsibilities and will be acting on behalf of the Board of Directors. Pool Update - 5/28
Dear Forest Ridge Homeowners, The Associations Board of Directors is currently executing a plan to partially re-open the community pool and is targeting early June. To do this we are working with Spectrum and our Pool Service vendor to secure labor that will be on site during pool hours to monitor occupancy and provide routine sanitation of the restrooms. Your pool committee is currently working on the schedule of the openings and a means to insure all homeowners have the ability to fairly access the pool given that it will only be open a fixed number of hours per week with significantly reduced occupancy. More details to come on this. At this time there is no plan to make the pool available to private parties or large groups. Due to sanitation requirements, the association will have all pool furniture secured and not available for use. Homeowners who wish to may bring their own folding chairs. The homeowners who use the pool will be asked to follow all CDC guidelines for social distancing and sanitation. Appropriate signage will be installed as a reminder. Again, there are a great many details to work out but we wanted to keep you informed as this develops. Sincerely, Board of Directors Forest Ridge Owners Association |
