Swimming Pool


The following criteria must be met for a HOA Member to use the Pool & Pool Cabana:
  1. Must be current on HOA account.
  2. Must have a key to enter facility.
  3. Must be a resident member and/or guest of a resident member.

Introduction

The safety and enjoyment of the Members of the community are of primary concern in the operation of our pool area. If we show courtesy and consideration for others in use of the pool, only a minimum of rules and guidelines should be needed for everyone to safely enjoy themselves. All patrons of the recreational facilities at Forest Ridge are required to follow and comply with current rules, regulations and guidelines and to avoid any activity that interferes with the enjoyment of others while at or using the recreational facilities.

Definitions

  • Pool & Pool Cabana shall mean the pool and surrounding area and the pavilion.
  • Association shall mean the Forest Ridge Owners Association, Inc.
  • Member(s) shall mean the Members of the Forest Ridge Owners Association, Inc.

Pool Access and Key Cards

Please remember, you will ALWAYS need your pool key card to enter the pool area. The pool gates are not to be left open at any time and should NEVER be propped or chained open. Pool key cards are available to Association members in good standing from Management. If a pool key card is lost, please report this to Spectrum immediately. Arrangements can be made for a replacement card. Once issued, pool key cards cannot be returned for a refund. The cost for the first card is $30.00, each additional card is $30.00 and replacement cards are $30.00. For more information about the pool key cards, please contact Management at 210-494-0659.

Pool Hours:
  • Sunday through Thursday: 6:00 am - 10:00 pm 
  • Friday and Saturday:  6:00 am - 11:00 pm
The Association reserves the right to close the pool, without notice, for emergencies, weather or repair purposes.

Use of Pools is at Your Own Risk

There is NO LIFEGUARD or POOL MONITORS at the pool. POOL PATRONS SWIM IN AND USE THE ASSOCIATION’S POOL AT THEIR OWN RISK. Parents/adults are ALWAYS responsible to remain at the pool with and supervise their children/youth under the age of 18 years of age and any guests, and are responsible to insure that family members and guests know and follow pool rules, regulations and guidelines. The Forest Ridge Owners Association and Management, LP are not responsible for accidents or injuries to or by pool patrons while at or using the pools, or the loss or theft of or damage to personal property brought or left at the pools or parking lots by a pool patron. Pool patrons have the primary responsibility for their own safety and the safety of their family and accompanied guests at the Association’s recreational facilities.

Safety

  1. Safety equipment is to be used only in the case of emergencies.
  2. Removal of Association equipment, furniture or accessories from the pool area is strictly prohibited. No furniture can be used in restrooms.
  3. The Association shall not be responsible for lost or missing articles. Please leave your valuables at home.
  4. Each member has a responsibility to report any incident involving another HOA Member, their family or guests using the pool that creates an unsafe or unpleasant environment. The report should be made to the Management office at (210) 494-0659.
  5. The Association retains the right to revoke privileges to the pool for any Member(s), their family or guests causing an unsafe or unpleasant environment.
  6. Only HOA Members in good standing, their tenants, and their accompanied guests are permitted to use the pool and pool area. A homeowner with an account 90-days delinquent will have their pool access card deactivated until their account is brought into current status.
  7. The Association retains the right to revoke privileges to the pool for any Member for violation of any of the rules.
  8. At no time should the gate be propped open. Failure to follow this rule will result in the suspension of pool privileges for the homeowner.
  9. According to Article 2.1.1 of the CC&Rs, a business venture cannot take place on any HOA Common Area, to include the community pool, playground, streets, and nature and walking trails. Any non-profit or not-for-profit business that wishes to conduct business on HOA Common Area must request permission from the Board of Directors at least 60 days in advance.
  10. Report any lost or stolen key or card immediately to Spectrum at (210) 494-0659. Members are responsible for any damages in and around the pool resulting from lost keys and/or cards.
  11. CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF EIGHTEEN (18) MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT AT ALL TIMES.

Guest Policy

  • Only HOA Members in good standing may bring guests to the pool. The host member is responsible for their guest’s conduct at all times and will accompany the guest at all times.
  • The Board may limit the number of guests or request guests to leave the pool in matters concerning safety or over-crowding.
  • A homeowner with suspended privileges cannot be a guest of another HOA member. A homeowner with an account 90-days delinquent will have their pool access card deactivated until their account is brought into current status.
  • Members shall be responsible for their guests and shall assume liability for the actions of their guests.

Pool Rules and Regulations

  1. Children under the age of 18 shall be accompanied by an adult.
  2. Children who are not toilet trained are required to wear swim diapers or rubber pants and shall be permitted in the wading pool only.
  3. Only children over the age of five (5) years shall be permitted in the wading pool.
  4. Children age seventeen (17) and under must be accompanied by an adult at least 18 years of age. There are no lifeguards on duty. Persons using the pool do so at their own risk.
  5. Pool users must be properly attired in swimwear. Denim or cut offs shall not be permitted in the pool.
  6. Parents are responsible for supervision of their children.
  7. Bikes, skateboards, roller blades/skates, and motorized vehicles are not permitted inside the pool area.
  8. Running, horseplay, fighting, dangerous conduct or loud noise shall not be permitted in or around the pool.
  9. Foul, loud, abusive or vulgar language or hand gestures shall not be permitted in or around the pool area. Please be considerate of others.
  10. No access outside of operating hours. Anyone caught after hours will have their privileges suspended.
  11. Animals are not allowed in the pool area, except for registered service animals.
  12. Smoking is prohibited in the pool area.
  13. No alcohol or glass containers are allowed in the pool area.
  14. Chewing gum in or around the pool is prohibited.
  15. Please ensure all food items remain at the cabana area. Residents are responsible for their own trash cleanup.
  16. Flips and diving from the side of the pool are prohibited. Jumping off backwards, or in any way, that throws the head back towards the side of the pool is prohibited.
  17. Do not jump into the water in close proximity to another swimmer. Sitting or standing on the shoulders of another swimmer is not permitted.
  18. Small pool and bath toys are allowed. Inflatable devices, no larger than an adult body, are allowed in the pool—when space permits. Games should not bother other swimmers.
  19. Only personal music systems, such as MP3 or CD players, with headphones used, are permitted in the pool compound. Amplified and live music are not permitted around the pool except as specifically approved by the Association’s Board of Directors.
  20. Any person under the influence of alcohol or drugs or acting in violation of the rules set out herein is not permitted to remain in the pool compound and may be excluded or removed from Association recreation facilities.
  21. Persons with skin disorders, colds, or any other infectious or contagious diseases shall not enter the pool, unless cleared by doctor.
  22. Injuries, accidents or incidents at the pools must be immediately reported to the Association. Please contact Management at the time of an injury, accident or incident to complete an injury/accident/incident report.
  23. Any pool user involved in vandalism or the abuse, or damage to pool facilities may be excluded or removed from the pools and may be subject to criminal charges as well as the suspension of Association membership privileges.

  25. Rule violations will be reported to Spectrum at (210) 494-0659. Upon the third offense, the individual will lose pool privileges for the remainder of the year.
  26. Please ensure that all lights and fans are turned off and the entry gate is securely locked if you are the last to leave the area.
  27. The Board of Directors will temporarily or permanently bar anyone guilty of repeated violations of pool rules from use of the pool.
